A mobile video application company is seeking a Social Media Sales Manager who can help drive and support continued growth. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in online social media and ad sales, with exceptional selling skills and a proven record of meeting and exceeding sales targets.Responsibilities include:
- Reactively prospect, qualify, grow, and maintain an account list while meeting quarterly and annual revenue goals
- Engage and strategize with clients and agencies to determine their business needs and formulate underwriting programs that meet the objectives of both the advertiser and the business
- Develop and maintain a list of local and national accounts including clients, advertising and promotional agencies in a variety of categories
- Assume campaign ownership to ensure full delivery and proper pacing of advertising campaign
- Track competitive activity and develop action plans to increase market share
- Reactively communicate account forecasts and sales information to sales management
- Organize and communicate a broad range of sales intelligence, using the latest tools for such efforts including Google analytics, Omniture, etc
Qualifications/Skills Required:
- Commensurate years social media / digital media sales experience which includes multiple platforms
- Strong knowledge of both traditional and digital media sales
- Knowledge and understanding of sales processes, tools and technology specific to the interactive advertising business
- Strong existing network of client and agency contacts, both interactive and traditional
- Proven track record of closing business, exceeding budgetary goals, and providing superior customer service
- Proficiency with of CRM tools for tracking client contacts, sales calls, and sales opportunities
