Sales Engineer

Description:
A digital ad technology company serving the media industry is seeking a Sales Engineer to support and enable technical sales activities.Responsibilities include:
- Develop an in-depth knowledge of the capabilities of our products and services
- Provide technical support on pre-sale calls including technical discussions, demonstrations, presentations and proofs-of-concept
- Develop a "use case" for prospective customer describing how our solution would be implemented to deliver maximum benefit and ROI
- Support and extend sales efforts for our suite of products and services across advertising agencies, publishers, advertising networks, and demand side platforms
- Provide timely, insightful feedback to the product management and research and development teams about the problems customers and prospects are trying to solve and suggest products/features that we could develop to meet the market's needs
- Perform in-person and remote presentations of products, services, and solutions
- Be a point of contact for implementation details between our customers, sales, account management, and implementation teams
- Quickly understand the technical and business level needs of a potential customer and explain how the company can benefit them
- Assist Sales in responding to RFPs
- Work closely with internal and external technical team members on custom product implementations
- Work closely with a broad range of people (sales, account management, implementation, product, and research and development), across geographies
- Manage project documentation; communications, meetings, and required meeting follow up
Qualifications/Skills Required:
- Several years professional technology experience, preferably in a software development environment
- Expert in both server and client side web technology
- Experience with ad servers and third-party creative tags
- Expert in HTML and JavaScript
- Several years of experience in the internet industry
- Experience managing operational relationships with third-party vendors, including testing of new technologies and systems and process advisement
- A proven track record of project management
- High level of comfort and experience working with all levels of professionals both internally and externally
- Extremely detail oriented, comfortable working independently, extremely well organized, have the technical aptitude to learn new technologies
- Exceptional command of advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and proven ability to work effectively with all organizational levels
- Demonstrated skills in requirements gathering, resource organization, project / task prioritization and schedule development
- Ability to build strong, effective working relationships
- Ability to handle multiple assignments with effective resolution of conflicting priorities. Ability to manage obstacles and incorporate sensitivity to cultural differences and divergent priorities
- Self-motivated, independent thinker and a team player, who will hit the ground running
- Experience managing operational relationships with third-party vendors, including testing of new technologies and systems and process advisement
- Experience with online ad-serving platforms and formats highly valued. Comprehensive understanding the online media marketplace
- Experience in web crawlers/spiders development a plus
- Direct experience working at one or more of the following: advertising agency, publisher, ad network or demand side platform
- Salesforce experience a plus
- Additional language skills a plus
- Travel will be required as necessary
