Summary:

A full service, specialist Performance TV agency is seeking a Business Development Manager who will be responsible for carrying out the growth strategy of the agency, by identifying, engaging, and formalizing relationships with direct response TV advertisers.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify prospects for direct response media campaigns
  • Perform historical and category research on identified prospects
  • Implement outreach and communication strategy
  • Develop strategies for attracting prospects
  • Conduct prospect qualification and report regularly on progress to leadership
  • Maintain prospect database
  • Lead pitch development and coordinate with subject matter experts in the agency
  • Maintain proactive approach to making sure prospects’ needs are satisfied
  • Oversee client set up and campaign launch inclusive of media strategy and planning, analytics, attribution, and reporting
  • Maintain regular client communication through life of relationship, ensuring that all client needs are met and expectations exceeded
  • Oversee media buying team to ensure client objectives are met and opportunities for optimization are executed
  • Oversee Analytics team to ensure accurate and timely reporting of campaign results
  • Regularly communicate results to client in digestible format, offering strategies for performance improvement and scale

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in marketing, business, or other relevant fields. Master degree is preferred
  • Prior work experience in Direct Response TV sales required
  • Demonstrated communication and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated success of achieving sales targets
  • Proof of having developed successful advertising solutions and presentations
  • Strong speaking, presenting and writing skills; ability to create sincere, lasting business relationships
  • Ability to discuss in detail latest advertising trends and technologies
  • Knowledge of agency services, strategic creative production, metrics-based media, and data analytics is essential
  • Strong understanding of the advertising agency structure, systems, products and technologies
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (i.e., PowerPoint, Excel)
  • Proficiency in Sales Platform technology such as Salesforce, Hubspot, Base CRM, Zoho, etc
  • Familiarity with analytics platforms such as Google Analytics and TV attribution platforms
  • Willingness to travel up to 2 – 3 times per month, if needed
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communications skills. Must be able to create and foster lasting business relationships
  • Hunger to learn and grow
  • Extensive C-Level contacts in prospective client industries a plus
  • Experience in marketing analytics and attribution is a plus
