Summary:

An Innovative Digital Technology and Media company is searching for an experienced executive to help them carry their ad measurement and optimization agenda to brands and ad agencies in the digital marketing ecosystem. The CRO will lead the sales and client services teams with a focus on developing new business partnerships and growing revenue.

Responsibilities:

  • Drive sales strategy and develop strategies to execute against revenue goals working directly with key marketing, CRM, and analytics stakeholders at brands and media agencies
  • Create and drive processes to align employee activities with company goals, while motivating employees and retaining top talent
  • Assist with the variable compensation establishment for sales team; ensuring alignment between comp plans and company quarterly and annual revenue goals
  • Regular management meetings and active participation in board meetings at the request of the CEO
  • Generate quarterly and annual forecasts, working closely with Finance, with a strong understanding of client opportunities and market challenges
  • Primary focus in Retail and Agency, supporting both core measurement services and future analytics products
  • Exude confidence and authority in the AdTech space, represent company as industry events and always act in the best interest of their brand
  • Cross functional projects across the organization with the CEO/Leadership team, Engineering, Marketing, Product, & Finance
  • Travel for client meetings as well as certain team events, training, etc. as needed

Qualifications:

  • Experience selling brand/merchant direct digital marketing and analytics solutions to big box retailers or quick service/fast casual/casual dining restaurants and experience working with senior leaders across clients and/or
  • Experience selling to large media agencies/holding companies or working at a media agency with an excellent understanding of agency dynamics, digital campaign buying and planning, and deep knowledge of ad campaign metrics and analysis
  • Selling digital ad measurement solutions, regardless of industry, with experience selling online to offline
  • Relevant management experience with a proven track record of developing teams, hiring top talent, and retaining employees
  • Experience managing employees across multiple locations a plus
  • Experience working with data management platforms (DMP), data exchanges, ad networks, demand-side platforms (DSP), agency trading desks or supply side platforms (SSP) and ad servers
  • Ideal candidates will understand the role of measurement & optimization in the digital ecosystem and the main player’s roles, strengths, and their shortcomings
  • Proven success in setting revenue goals and achieving/exceeding them
  • Proven communication, presentation, and sales skills with a preference for consultative selling
  • Extremely self-motivated, attention to detail and desire to deliver results
  • Experience in early-stage startups a plus
  • Bachelor’s Degree or MBA
