Summary:

A top media and marketing company is seeking a Digital Sales Manager. The primary focus of this role is identifying prospects for online ad sales, closing deals and generating revenue across our portfolio of desktop, mobile, video, social, native, etc. platforms.

Responsibilities:

  • Generate revenue that meets or exceeds budget
  • Initiate and sell marketing programs based upon insights gained from meetings or provide a proactive sales approach bringing ideas to clients prior to RFP process
  • Effectively collaborate with multiple departments in order to achieve network objectives and optimize revenue through strategic and creative means
  • Develop strong client relationships
  • Continually identify, define, and quantify both existing and new revenue opportunities

Qualifications:

  • BA, advanced degree in Media, Business or communications a plus
  • Digital advertising sales and/or agency planning experience and/or sales planning experience
  • Must be a client-focused seller who has experience in online/digital media sales
  • Previous experience working with print counterparts is a plus
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills: ability to communicate complex technical features in simple terms
  • Entrepreneurial self-starter with ability to work in a matrix organization and thrive in a highly-collaborative, team-based environment
  • Proven capacity to enhance revenue through consultative selling skills
  • Strong analytical ability for strategic sales development, including interpretation of media research and analysis for effective use as a sales tool
  • A confident, tenacious, diplomatic, and collaborative style
  • Ability to thrive in a fast paced work environment
  • Extremely goal oriented with the ability to be organized and prioritize
  • Must have existing relationships with agency/media buying community
