Summary:

A content strategy and marketing company is looking for a Director of Business Development.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop relationships with current and potential clients, as well as partner agencies
  • Look for major trends in the industry to share with the executive and marketing teams
  • Create detailed reports and assign KPIs
  • Work with internal teams to identify potential new product lines
  • Reach out to current customers for referrals
  • Recommend local networking events related to content and healthcare that internal staff should attend
  • Plan the editorial calendar with marketing, picking topics that are important to the content, financial services, insurance and healthcare industries
  • Identify conferences appropriate for their audiences
  • Build partnerships with other agencies in the space to co-create thought leadership pieces

Qualifications:

  • Business development experience for a small and growing business (about 30 people)
  • Have a relationship-building style
  • Operate well independently but enjoy collaboration (a must)
  • Know something about complex industries like financial services, hospitals, healthcare or health insurance
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong understanding of the digital strategy environment
  • Selling to the Healthcare or hospital industry is preferred, not required
