A growing, fast-paced media agency with an excellent management team focused on media strategy, planning, and activation is seeking a Paid Social Director. We are an independent agency instilling thoughtful strategy and digital expertise into media implementation and analytics. The agency makes impactful media simple. Responsibilities:

The Paid Social Director is responsible for managing the strategy and execution of paid social media plans as well as overseeing the social practice for the Agency. This role will help expand a growing department within the agency to operate as a center of excellence for all paid social spending.

They play a key role in the translation of marketing and media objectives into paid social strategies and oversee seamless execution.  The Paid Social Director is also responsible for identifying and staying educated on emerging market trends and technologies as they relate to social media platforms, targeting tactics, and measurement techniques. The ideal candidate has meaningful hands-on experience with media buying, paid social strategy, and team management. 

  • Responsible for social media campaign strategy
  • Identify client goals/objectives and lead the development of strategies and tactics for current campaigns  
  • Oversee a team handling execution, including building campaigns, setting up ads, campaign pacing, tagging, tracking, and QA
  • Manage vendor relationships with key social partners including Facebook, Snap, & TikTok
  • Ensure integration between internal teams by updating and informing them on the status of all account projects 
  • Stay current with social opportunities, consumer trends, and emerging technologies  
  • Provide POV for staff and clients on new technologies and vendor partners 
  • Build strong relationships with client counterparts and manage day-to-day relationships including strategic oversight and overall problem solving/troubleshooting  
  • Manage team in the development, implementation, and maintenance of media plans including strategy development, project management, report delivery, and client communication  
  • Oversee budgets for social campaigns
  • Ensure for accuracy, timeliness, and quality of all team outputs
  • Facilitate the development of more junior team members

Qualifications:

  • Must have strong knowledge of the paid social landscape
  • Deep understanding of Facebook Ads platform, Business Manager, campaign types, etc., ideally with Blueprint certifications
  • Experience with self-serve and full-service offerings provided by other social partners such Snap, TikTok, Reddit, Twitter, LinkedIn, and Quora
  • Ability to write clearly and concisely
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Excellent skills in MS Office and/or Google suite
  • Experience optimizing social campaigns to multiple metrics
  • Strong team management and interpersonal communication
  • Ability to collaborate and manage teams with strong leadership skills and team player mentality
  • Knowledge of ad serving, tagging, and media billing tools a plus
  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience with paid social platforms
  • 6+ years of experience in digital media
  • Experience with YouTube or Programmatic platforms a plus
  • Experience with organic social campaigns, influencers, or social media management platforms a plus
