Summary

A growing, fast-paced media agency with an excellent management team focused on media strategy, planning, and activation is seeking a Programmatic Director. We are an independent agency instilling thoughtful strategy and digital expertise into media implementation and analytics. The agency makes impactful media simple. Responsibilities:

The Programmatic Director is responsible for managing the strategy and execution of paid programmatic media plans, overseeing the programmatic practice for the Agency. The Director is responsible for working with the programmatic team across their specialty platforms to develop a campaign strategy that supports the client goals and integrates into the broader paid media plans. They play a key role in the translation of marketing and media objectives into overall programmatic strategies.  

The Programmatic Director is also responsible for identifying and staying educated on emerging market trends and technologies as they relate to programmatic media, search, and social. The ideal candidate has meaningful hands-on experience with programmatic media buying, programmatic strategy, and team management. 

  • Responsible for programmatic media campaign strategy
  • Identify client goals/objectives and lead the development of strategies and tactics for current campaigns  
  • Oversee a team handling execution, including building campaigns, trafficking creative, campaign pacing, tagging and tracking, and QA
  • Manage vendor relationships 
  • Ensure integration between internal teams by updating and informing them on the status of all account projects
  • Stay current with programmatic opportunities and emerging technologies  
  • Provide POV for staff and clients on new technologies and vendor partners 
  • Build strong relationships with client counterparts and manage day-to-day relationships including strategic oversight and overall problem solving/troubleshooting  
  • Manage team in the development, implementation, and maintenance of media plans including programmatic strategy development, project management, report delivery, and client communication  
  • Oversee budgets for programmatic campaigns
  • Ensure for accuracy, timeliness, and quality of all team outputs
  • Facilitate the development of more junior team members

Qualifications:

  • Must have strong knowledge of the paid programmatic landscape and best practices (DSPs, SSPs, exchanges, data providers, inventory types, auction models, etc.) 
  • Ability to write clearly and concisely
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Excellent skills in MS Office and/or Google suite
  • Experience optimizing video and display marketing campaigns across DSPs and ad-serving platforms
  • Strong team management and interpersonal communication
  • Ability to collaborate and manage teams with strong leadership skills and team player mentality
  • Knowledge of ad serving, tagging, and media billing tools a plus
  • Minimum 3 years hands-on experience with a demand-side platform (DSP)
  • 5+ years of experience in digital media
  • Experience with DSPs such as The Trade Desk or DV360; experience in search and social a plus
  • Enjoy working in a data-driven, collaborative, and results-oriented environment
